Council of foreign relations president Richard Haass joins Morning Joe to discuss the possibility of Russia using chemical weapons in Ukraine, and how the United States and NATO would respond to that escalation by Vladimir Putin. “If we can’t stop the Russians from using it, Russia itself has to pay an enormous price,” Haass says. “We do not want the idea to gain momentum in the world, that you can use weapons of mass destruction with impunity.”

each time they allude to never getting involved I wish they would just be honest and instead say something to the effect ‘Russia is going to win this war and there’s nothing we’re going to do to stop them’ it’s really beginning to feel like them using words like ‘deterrence’ and ‘imposing a high cost’ are just becoming ways of pacifying the people, ways of letting Russia win in ukraine easier for us to take because ‘we did all we could do’ — I’m not advocating for nuclear armageddon, just honesty from nato/us officials

To Ukrainians: Sorry this is SO messy and it would be abhorrent but the US WOULD STILL not get involved militarily if your people are murdered by chemical weapons. Breaking News just in. Vladimir Putin has asked the Indian government to assist them with offsetting the financial sanctions posed by the United States. India is weighing the request of sending advisors and training Russian teams for telephone scamming operations against US elderly people. President Biden has green lighted this as being acceptable saying ” We have never shut down this type of activity and will not do so now Just make sure I get cut in on the profits and my boy hunter gets a good job out of the deal. They need to fire any prosecutors that get wise to this as well. If those requirements are met there might be some US aid money in it for them”. Russia wants to use this as a stop gap measure until they get a legitimate economy based on goods and services off the ground. When asked about this VP Harris laughed uncontrollably.
