Vets Exposed To Toxic Burn Pits During Service Could Receive Care If House Passes Bill
I have worked within the VA and I encourage every Veteran to take advantage of the Veterans Administration System. Yes, you will need to give up a certain amount of time in order to get signed up and become an active patient. However, will be worth the effort even if you are only using it to obtain reasonably priced prescription drugs. A long time friend of mine and Veteran of Desert Storm, finally was reaching out to get his RN, but he was having difficulty paying for his personal medications. He went to the VA. He got his meds, his registration, and is now working as a surgical tech nurse at a VA Hospital. Until we elect Congresspeople willing and worthy enough to do the job, the VA is the closest thing to a universal health care system that this country is offering. The VA has consistently gotten better and has a high rate of volunteers, in spite of being given a minimal annual budget. Every young person who has been willing to take the risks involved in putting on a military uniform should be assured of care, both during and after service.
Not all injuries of war are Visible! The less visible they are the more the VA likes to deny deny deny. If you get a breathing problem from burn pits they force you to take pulmonary test till you have a favorable result! To the point of passing out asthma attacks and ending up in the ER. They fail to assist and are trained to deny you have health problems.
Best clip of the week. Seriously. Thank you!!!
dont clap, throw money
Auto immune disorders chronic pain disorders breathing problems all denied by the VA even when they prove exposures cause these problems it’s impossible to get service connected disability and help for those exposures!!! Make them fix this!!
When you apply for benefits and service connected disability due to these exposures they send you to third party examiners that purposely do the exams poorly and deny you service connection!! Make you wait months years to get a response on you disability rating then tell you don’t deserve it!
49 YEARS now, living off the taxpayer dollar. 49 YEARS to fix the VA. What has this POS done??
13 flag draped coffins
Jon Stewart should take a bow, he fought for the 911 heroes, the fire & police, this is what the wealthy paying their fair share in taxes should be for, people have to respect & honor these women & men, the GOP use them as a racist tool, when it’s the Dems who want to give them what they deserve, thank-you people for your service, only one President ends his speeches with,” God protect our troops.”
The idea that there is controversy here is astonishing.
So Biden says that as soon as we get our carbon emissions down to net zero Putin will kinda feel the sanctions!!
America! It can be inspiring and beautiful. It can also be dark and ugly. It’s soo many things, but it’s ours. It’s our America.
Thank you for speaking up for the caregivers. I take care of my veteran father who’s disabled from his injuries and the chemicals and radiation he was exposed to in Vietnam. He also struggles with opioid addiction thanks to the VA’s neglect. And NO support for the caregivers or family. We’re just supposed to sacrifice our lives for free (I’ve gone broke to the point of becoming housing insecure as his caregiver), while the government makes us fight to qualify for benefits. The veteran caregiver support in this country is a joke. Aka: nonexistent.
Good God. These troops didn’t sign up to poisoned! Every American owes these soldiers everything, including me. I served. I wondered what kind of deadly environments could have occurred. This a wrong that can be righted.
Very well articulated arguments! This is something everyone should be able to agree on and should be shared on your social media!
AMEN!! We caregivers are ALWAYS overlooked. Our families have been forever changed bc of these wars. Then we have to choose between working to pay for care or staying home and being broke. And our family member is No longer who they once where. So we are no longer able to be who we once were.
And just like that republicans are against this.
I’m still denied to this day for my benefits for copd and agent orange from Vietnam. I finally got my ptsd approved three years ago and I’m 71 years old now so you know when I get the rest when I’m dead and gone. !! Good luck getting anything from government.
United Nations is totally in illusion WTF
The CDC should be fighting too
Lord, political pandering Brandon is sick in the head
How many people with Covid are fighting? This is a Complete Circus Comedy
