Message to Z. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. A treaty with someone you don’t trust and you don’t have the wherewithal to defend your border? That’s a recipe for future disasters. Just ask the ghost of Neville Chamberlain.
Economic boycotts are a joke being foisted on the public. EU DEPENDS on Russian oil and gas. Have you seen videos of life in Russia? It doesn’t look any different than in Eastern Europe CONSIDERING they were supposed to be under sanctions already for Crimea. The Russians don’t have as much to lose compared to the west and that’s why they’re being so careful with Putin, they’re scared of losing their wealth.

Even if this leads to peace in Ukraine (which is doubtful), Putin is almost certainly looking at which country’s civilians to target next. Europe will remain on the brink of WWIII while Putin is in power

If I were Putin I would not accept anything but the agreement signed at the Minsk accords and now a demilitarized land bridge from Crimea to Russia proper, and neutrality for Ukraine forever. Only then would the sacrifice of thousands of Russian soldiers be honored. This agreement would have nothing to do with the United States of America, and if a NATO country would like to be a guarantor like Italy or France, they would have to unequivocally state in written treaty that the agreement has utterly nothing to do with NATO , and would be guaranteed by Finland and Sweden and China. Otherwise the Russian federation would never pull out of territory gained in the current war, and Odessa would continue to be bombed.
