They can postpone reintegration of Taiwan for 20, 50 or 100 years more if necessary. Putin’s actions have been cultivated through the years by his paranoia, distrust of others, and need for absolute control over the government. He’s surrounded himself with ‘yes men’ and those with connections that go along with his ideas/suggestions without contradicting him and questioning him. Basically, he’s making policy within an echo chamber of his own creation. Combine that with his information control and not sharing facts with his military commanders and government officials, we get lunacy with his policies. Most likely, Putin’s cronies told him it was a brilliant idea when he suggested this nonsense of invading and taking over Ukraine.
All the dictators of the world are opening their eyes. Western democracies are united and have teeth. Autocrats with their un-motivated armies will fail against democracy-loving motivated people defending their countries with modern weapons. If China tries to invade Taiwan, exactly the same thing will happen to them as is happening to Putler’s armies. But the difference is that Taiwan will have the support of the U.S pacific fleet. Thank goodness the Orange Monkey is not in power here, as he would have tried to take NATO apart per his puppet master Putler’s wishes.
