Sen. Kyrsten Sinema said Wednesday she doesn’t support a $3.5 trillion price tag for Democrats’ sweeping social safety net bill, and she faced criticism from some progressives, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who view $3.5 trillion as a compromise.

Sen. Sinema Faces Criticism From Progressives For Opposing $3.5T Price Tag
Yeah, they got a diluted bipartisan hard infrastructure bill which didn’t include the removal of all the old lead pipes exposing ppl to lead and dealing w/micro plastics found in all of us from water which contain these micro plastic. Knowing Alzheimer’s is expected to increase dramatically in the coming decades and still not knowing what’s causing the condition, as well as autism and other conditions which have significantly increased in recent decades but not knowing exactly why or how to prevent or treat the conditions, we need to address these problems we know exist and know some r having negative impacts on their health. No spending bill ever starts well above what is actually needed to where compromising 50% is going to be an adequate spending bill. We know it’s likely less affluent ppl being exposed to the most lead and micro plastics in their water. Republicans only care about making rich ppl richer. Corporate Dems also care way too much about making the wealthy wealthier, though, a little less than republicans. If we want change, want the wealthy paying, at least the same % or higher in taxes as the M and L classes. If we want politicians who r first and foremost serving the ppl, all the ppl, not just a small group of already very privileged ppl or making decisions based on what makes them wealthier personally while many other M&L class ppl r disproportionately affected by climate change. For example, Manchin recently made about $500,000 in earnings w/a coal company which happens to be worse than many others w/respect to climate change. As a Senator, he makes a little less than $200,000/yr. If we can’t pass bills w/a simple majority bc corporate Dems r choosing to enrich themselves or their donors over doing what’s in the best interest of the population as a whole. The least corrupt politicians and politicians who support the best policies for the public are far-left Dems. We r not going to get significant change, like campaign finance reform, by electing the politicians who r bought buy the wealthy and corporations and making decisions based on corruption that should be illegal for elected officials. Once we get enough far-left Dems in the house, the senate, and WH, we will then start seeing significant changes which will place greater limits on the corruption we’ve seen impacting the decisions our elected officials make. If we never get enough far-left Dems in office, then we will continue to see corruption negatively impacting all of the policies the American ppl would like to see. Vote the farthest left politician u have the opportunity to vote for. The more we send the message that we choose the least corrupt politicians, corporate Dems and republicans will have to start adopting far-left policies like those we see all politicians support in every other wealthy country except the US like healthcare for all and making the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.
Sinema doesn’t support the Democratic infrastructure bill because she’s bought and paid for by Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Corporate donors, so she can keep buying those Prada shoes.
If 4 trillion is good 10 must be better.
Can’t wait till she’s gone
Democrats really need to understand… A TWO trillion dollar reconciliation bill would be a GIFT to run on right now! We can get them to two! Two or anything abv is a huge win for the Progressives ATP.
❤❤❤ AOC ❤❤❤
AOC so wellknown that 3 letter is enough
Wrong. You have to move forward with the government you want. What you have had under the former disgraced person in the WH is a model of corruption, incompetence and fascism.
AOC – In her entire political career haven’t passed a single legislation nor do any hope capable of doing so in future… We have bunch of ultra left and right political hacks, who are good for just big talk and obstruction, nothing else…. Angry low life’s who knows nothing of compromise, persuasion……
Sinema now playing the Manchin game. Both require investigation before we dispose of them.
“this $3.5 trillion bill is too much. We need to cut down on the cost of this $3 trillion stimulus. I am hopeful that we can negotiate our $2.5 trillion offer with a better $1 trillion offer. Unfortunately, it looks like everyone is just getting a check for $20.”
USA ANTIQUE INFRASTRUCTURE: “The eyes of history are on this appointment.” – Buttigeig.
1964 Japan’s first bullet trains were put in service and the the first Beatles album was released.
1998 China started the construction of 36,000km of high speed railways and high speed trains.
2021 USA still has NO high speed trains and NO safe overpasses or apartment blocks.
Stop being so tribal and realize that this kind of spending would destroy the economy with inflation that’ll hurt us all. She’s in the right
Talk Manchin family corruption. His daughter Heather B Manchin got huge payout over 30 million as the pharmaceutical factory closes in WV, when she was 1st hired the Eppie Pen cost went up by 400%, thanks Heather, jobs going over to India, 1,600 jobs. This show is for low information people, just as bad as Fox.
Punch Bowl guy…follow the money on Manchin and Synema…
I wonder if Long Island City has received a company to replace Amazon yet? Is the picture becoming any clearer yet? 🙂
How messed up is it that we’re acting as though the ambition of two people is more worth discussing that the needs of the American people.
Not to worry: Regressives will still figure out how to spend money no one has on things no one needs.
Never forget that AOC did not stand any fight for $15 minimum wage after campaigning to do so. Oh was it the parliamentarian???? Im any past case they were just replaced until one was found that agreed to the will of the people. 79% of Americans wanted $15 minimum wage and yet AOC dropped it
A love letter to America. Read it.
Unbelievable Joe and Mika can’t believe you’re selling us out to. You’re the media and you’re not going to tell the truth but the reason Joe MANCHIN won’t vote for that 3.5 trillion dollar package it’s because he has a vested interest and on shares for a coal company in West Virginia! One of the biggest and the worst contributors to carbon in the atmosphere! His pockets run Deep but you won’t report that! Instead you make it sound like it’s bipartisan!
Hilarious. It’s nothing but a watered down Republican bill now! Wow nothing you people say is the truth anymore!
It’s because she’s sleeping with Ron Johnson and Manchin is getting money from republicans
Oh still waiting for MSNBC to do a piece on Joe Machin’s corruption and dodgy deals with donors. Read about it in the intercept.
Maybe take some time off roasting politicians trying to help us like AOC and focus on the corrupt blocking everything for their own gain.
Sinema is probably the worst pic her district ever chose and thats saying alot considering it’s Arizona and keep pushing the Progressives and then watch all of the Progressives refuse to support any democratic candidates and to correct joe the only reason Republicans are agreeing is because they took out the 15 dollar minimum wage so Republicans still got what they wanted which is to keep the poor right in their place smh
Sinema looks like a batman villain. Less classy though.
Progressives should block it. We can elect the government we want and deserve in 2022, and actually get the country progressing forward.
No point wasting this legislation on pointless compromises.
