This has become a National Day of Mourning. Of course, it’s original reason for existence was because of the great loss on 9/11/2001, but it seems so much worse this year when we have lost so many to this pandemic. It is even more heartbreaking when we recognize that it didn’t ever need to be this bad. Americans have been acting like it’s the early 1800s and they are still throwing the contents of their chamberpots into the streets. There have been infections like this for centuries. There are rules. If you don’t follow the rules, you will get sick and die. Next time, find someone smart enough to get you the rules.

I’m an emigrant. I was in trouble with no place to go and this country, our country granted me immigration visa. 20 years later 911 happened. I will never forget where I was when I heard about this attack. I was in shock, how anyone could do such thing to the country that did so much good, the country that helped nations, that helped people, the country that is a beacon of freedom and democracy. I still do not understand this, why?
Just imagine 19 years from now, someone reading the half a millions names of the Americans who died from COVID. Oh no, that will never happen, because it would take three or four weeks reading the names day and night without once stopping. Perhaps they can have a wall.

Also he claimed to have gone to the site when the attack happened there are no witnesses or pictures proving that lie.

How to explain 9/11 to your kids: „it was like COVID, but not nearly as bad“
PLEASE please please talk to your children, tell them about this day, about the people.
About those firefighters that ran into the buildings knowing they may not come out. But did it anyways. Because that is their job. That is why we need them. About those who came from other cities to help NYC out.
About the police who came from everywhere help, to control the chaos, to do as they are paid and serve and protect. We talk about how some people think we don’t need the police. This day PROVES we need them. And there are good officers out there, despite us knowing there are bad ones too. They stepped up huge.
About the fact that firefighters and police and construction workers and so so so many people are STILL dying because of the after effects of this day. One gentlemen on another report said that more people have died since 911 because of injuries, resperatory issues, cancers and so much more, than died on that tragic day.
Teach them. It is important. Teach them about those that stepped up to defend the country both before and after this horrific time in our history. Those that served the country with pride and honour.
Tell them about how the US allies stepped up and took care of the US citizens (how small Canadian towns landed and took care of thousands of stranded air passengers who could not go home to through US air space]. – see Come From Away or watch the video on Crave about the air traffic controllers who handled landing all the planes from Europe that day when US airspace was closed.
Tell them about the Border Security officers at both ends of the country that wanted to close the doors that day, but they had to get people home to their countries despite bomb threats and massive line ups and being cognizant of who was entering the country at that time.
They don’t learn any of those things in school (especially not during covid). It is condensed. That is just the educational system. So it is up to you as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and so on to share the importance of this day in history and for the US people. And or the world.
I am Canadian. I respect this day. I am proud of all who stepped up that day and since.

That young man’s earnest, courageous, wary, and loving face going up those stairs breaks me. I have had a paramedic like into my eyes like that: those are special souls, bigger than most of us.

Watching this, I can’t help but notice that Gov. Cuomo and the Bidens are there, and aren’t demanding that the spotlight be on them. And they were there when this video segment started, and were there after it ended. I looked up Trump’s schedule for the day. Planned to stay at the flight 93 memorial for a grand total of 10 minutes.
And the right claim that the election is all about character. The comparison is plainly obvious….
I pray for everyone for September 11th in this country I pray for all our heroes I prayed for the sacrifice they made for this beautiful country and I asked God to help us and I asked God to be at peace with us and let us live as a good country
