If the president can pardon himself and his fellow criminals, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If the popular vote does not count, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If the president can obstruct justice and call for violence with impunity, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If the president can kidnap children who will never see their parents again, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If a state with 0.5 million people has as many senators as one with 40 million, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If the president can humiliate and emasculate the military, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. If the Constitution allows exam cheating, West Point cadets to become politicized and be partial to one politician who called them “losers” and “suckers”, THE CONSTITUTION IS WORTHLESS. We need a modified Constitution. We live with a dictator. This can not stand. The world has realized our system is sick. And the enablers must be ostracized.
Rachel Meadow is a bad joke that tries to pass as a journalist. Maybe if she and other so called journalists actually report the news as it actually happens instead of their delusional versions we might have real understanding of what’s happening.

Some re-reading of 2nd amendment needed. Many of these pardons are unconstitutional. Unlimited pardon power would neglect faithful execution of the law. We cannot trust Trump SCOTUS to side with what is right, but we can demand new AG pursue prosecution under RICO Act, which includes 8 state level felonies. Bottom line, this is racketeering.
Anyone on the right defending the notion that a president could pardon himself will have to at some point stop and think what this means when a democrat president goes and does it too. Absent this bit of self reflection they can point to anything they would hate to see a president they don’t agree with do (which is plenty if they are from the right) and realize it could do it and get away with it. Here is a good example that gets under republican’s skin: Banning firearm posession and ownership for civilians. He could order it in clear violation of the constitution and then pardon himself. See? All laws in our books become dead letter if a president can do whatever he wants and then get away with it with a simple pardon for himself. Assasination of political rivals becomes possible and so is religious persecution too.

Trump must be brought to justice if the US is to retain any crediility.
Trump needs to be prosecuted, not just because of his own actions, but to make precedence for any future immoral president and to lay foundation for Constitutional amendments for handling presidential misconduct.

Things have gone beyond giving Trump a pass in the name of expedience. Yes, his white supremacist militias will cause trouble, but in the end most of those guys are brainless in a world where brains matter. It’s time for a House cleaning.
