Andrew Weissmann, former lead prosecutor for Robert Mueller, talks with Rachel Maddow about how pardoned individuals can be compelled to testify where the Fifth Amendment no longer applies, which could mean people like Roger Stone and Paul Manafort being called to testify if prosecutors pursue a case against Donald Trump. How Trump’s Pardons Of Russia Figures Could Backfire If He Is Prosecuted | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC
Yep! Republicans this is what you get from being naive
I have never in my life seen anyone who so continually shoots himself in the foot as The Donald. I guess this is what a life of no consequences brings.
YOU LYING DEMOCRATS ARE TOOLS FOR THE GLOBALIST ATTACKS ON THE USA WE WILL HANG YOU ALL
Lol. Stop bullying Russia. Trump makes thy problemos.
Sure hope they nail him for all of his dirty deeds.

Cokjuhh
The new AG should aggressively go after Trump and take him out of circulation. Trump’s cult followers can’t be any more fanatical so there’s nothing to lose
The 2016 Mueller investigation also needs to be completed. Trump may have been elected illegally in 2016. The Republican party interfered and did not let the Mueller investigation complete for party loyalty reasons as requested by Trump.
Trump cleaned up all the jail to free up space for him and his family. At the end it’s all for good.
You could say the framers foresaw a guy like Trump because they had fresh memories of monarchy. But the lame duck concept? Definitely did not foresee Trump for several reasons. And none of these particular pardons would exist if his term expired on December 14th. A president should always face possible political ramifications for pardons. And second term presidents are a quandary!
Turning the other cheek and allowing Trump to get away without accountability would be a tremendous mistake for our country. It would embolden Trump, his children and anyone else to use the same playbook but with greater efficiency in 2024 and beyond because his shortcomings were narrow and he was almost successful in achieving his goal of establishing authoritarian in this country.
One of the Democrats greatest failings would be to not prosecute Trump et al.
Oh brother.
Let’s do it! We want justice! We must demand they bring them back to justice! All of them should be prosecuted for something new connected to this scandal Along with Trump! We can’t let them get away with all of these criminal actions.
Imagine if the men who wanted to bring back the firing squad were the first men against the wall.
Santa wasn’t a boy
Merry Christmas you ahteist antifa loving freaks
We can only hope.
I doubt we’ll even need Manafort or stone. Remember all communication in and out of the white house is recorded, and even if trump covered his tracks perfectly (hahahaha, he didn’t), people talk. These days they talk via communication methods that can be very incriminating if presented to a grand jury.
some day… some day.. Karma will strike back ;D
Loads of sour grapes here and a lot of liberal whine
If he is prosecuted? He managed to get away with everything so far..
All this is not about Trump only. It is about at least two narratives which cannot be conjoined into one main narrative of statehood. The first narrative is “he’s guilty of unethical behavior (crimes??)”, the second is “he can do what he wants as a sitting president”. Translated into statehood: A state can only exist on an ethical foundation or a state is void of ethics and roots in power only. First, Kant, second, Machiavelli. The problem seems to be that we don’t really know what’s really going on behind closed doors. We’re hearing assumptions all day long. Trump fuels this not-knowing by shooting out twitter messages about this and that. All in all, there’s a big mess and big confusion about reality.
