So, offering himself a pardon equates to admitting he committed criminal acts.
Probably not what he thought of when he considered pardoning himself – either preemptively or not. Still an admission of guilt.
Can they invoke the 5th if they have already been pardoned? Surely you can’t invoke the 5th on the grounds that you intend on lying to the court?
