How Jimmy Stewart’s WWII Experience Impacted ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ | Morning Joe | MSNBC
So many folks today have no clue what it’s like to sacrifice for their nation, or for their neighbors. People have become highly selfish. My Dad was part of that great generation. I sure miss him!
Love this movie. Love Jimmy Stewart…
I think I’m making a date with Jimmy Stewart for tonight! Thanks for the Tip Doris Kernes Goodwin and Morning Joe!
Wow. I hope I can access it. I’ve seen clips of this movie my whole life. But, I’ve never watched the movie from beginning to end.
I just laughed at the idea that Biden will be surrounded by more women than men in the White House. And since his wife Jill will be suspicious of him, she will undoubtedly control the cameras.
Wait, so Mika gets to introduce the guests, Joe does not even allow them to say hello back and then Mika gets to sit there like a doll while Joe the conservative misogynists is asking all the questions and handling all the interaction? I fail to understand why did Mika get herself into this predicament and why is she enabling? She is a smart woman.
Bring back the old G,I, education bill and extend that to other public sector service jobs.
Jimmy Stewart and I share a birthday…May 20th.
Who is the Jimmy Stewart of our age?
Jmmy Stewart, Elvis and other big stars served there country and we ended up with captain bone spurs as president. SAD.
My grandfather fought with British army all through Africa, France and Germany, loving man, I witnessed an episode of harshness when one day my younger brother playing with toy soldiers made comment about how smart German uniforms were, suddenly my grandfather had my wee brother held by throat and pinned to table. He did recoil and turned his back on us but I saw him crying he was hurting. Years later I confronted him and he admitted that he had took many lives and still remembered them all. He never forgave himself and no one was aware of PTSD I wonder if he would have even better than he already was to me.
Seriously mutt and Jeff are talking about a dead movie star and won’t tell us about the Pelosi where billions are going to foreign countries like Pakistan for gender studies and Jordan for a wall, outreagous American’s are standing in food lines and our money is be diverted to foreign countries, come on speak up and demand the truth
Republican love these great movie of the past like “It’s a wonderful Life,” “A Christmas Carol,” but do they know that all based on a socialism theme.
Can We Ask Donald or Lindsey?
Where Did That 500,000$ Donation Go?
Jimmy Stewart was a top notch movie star that put it all aside to fight in that war, and he wasn’t the only one. That’s why they’re called the greatest generation.
The crow metaphor gives way to the squirrel, a symbol of prosperity, that runs up Uncle Billy’s arm after George unloads on him for losing the deposit.
Listen to the lines in the scene where George is meeting with the bank officers after his father dies. Some pro-socialist ideals expressed there. George Bailey was a socialist, God Bless Him!
He was sweating because the movie was filmed in the middle of a heat wave.
Jimmy Stewart…… I had no idea he was a brigadier general.
absolutely wonderful, ty everyone! and its a wonderful life has been one of my fav movies for many decades! but i hadn’t even realized that he had ptsd, i thought he was just acting. it is so obvious now that you said it. being from a multigenerational military family, it should have hit me but didn’t. my son still has it after 14 years but it was dramatically bad that 1st year. and still i never made the connection with the movie.
My favorite Christmas movie
..They assume that the U.S. without Trump will no longer be leading world politics and the organizers of CO-VID-19 are already warning the world that the “pandemic” will begin to do “what it came” to do “end humanity” to adjust the population to the 2030 AGENDA … https://www.r-evolucion-revelacion.es/proyecto-2020-agenda-regulacion-y-re-programacion-de-la-humanidad/
Jimmy Stewart’s character was a LOAN SHARK. He wasn’t GIVING away money. He was loaning it and charging interest. Nothing morally noble about that. If you failed to make your payments, he would foreclose on you every bit as fast as Potter would evict you.
