People ask me why atheists talk so much about atheism if atheism is simply a lack of belief in any deity. I tell them it’s because if we as peoples can’t believe in the same reality, then there will be conflict at some point, that won’t be survivable for anyone. As an atheist, all I have is life and the survival of humanity. We have to believe in the things that can be proven, otherwise it all comes apart. How can you have bipartisanship between a mainstream political party and one that believes that extra-terrestrial pedophiles may have come to eat our children in order to achieve immortality? Once you leave reality, there’s no limit to how far from it you can go and that is a problem. And that’s why I’m an atheist; you can’t train people to reject reality and then expect them to remain sane. That’s not how human beings work.

All this talk about the Bonespur misses the point in my opinion. Trump is a symptom of the polarization of the usa that has been fertilized by Mitch McConnell. McConnell and his approach of opposing everything from the “other side” regardless of merit.
You don’t have to be the smartest person in the room, just know where the smart people are.
if it requires America to take a few steps back to gain clearer visions that can help to navigate into the new century/millennium then why not??? Extreme isolationism, tribalism, and individualism detach America from receiving and accepting genuine relationships who share similar humanistic views.
We can be bipartisan, but not to the detriment of your own (supposed) party!
Today, Dems must realize their base is left-wing progressivism – working to safeguard the working class (directly). ..And that the right is totally unreasonable & corrupted by corporate lobbying interests.

Hong Kong was also just recently swallowed. The people in Belarus are also struggling for quite a while.
I don’t understand why Democrats keeps turning the other cheek. The right is saying that your candidate stole the election, and was basically in cahoots with Chavez, Communists and God know who, and you all are still sayin « well maybe we should work with each other ».
They don’t wanna work with you, they want to crush you. Please respond accordingly.
Joe Biden will have the next 4 years to be a uniter and be Trumanlike and lead with bipartisanship. Walk the talk time!
