Preemptive pardons and Self-Pardons for crimes that have not been charged yet, are not “a thing” … and any piece of paper Trump signs would likely have as much clout in court as having a Monopoly Card that says “Get out of jail free” … or having Giuliani or Sidney Powell as a lawyer.
While the idea of a pardon is infuriating, these people are criminals. They won’t change. With so many irons in the fire, Trump can pardon them for specific crimes,over a specific period of time,if my understanding is correct. Give em a month, or two ,and open new investigations. It’s not like they can just shut down this fire hose,and I’m sure, just my opinion, that they’re in dept,not necessarily financial, to some pretty nasty people, who won’t likely just stop expecting a return on their investments.
