Middle Class have to pay every penny of their income to taxes and while corporations get tax breaks and pay nothing taking advantage of the system. Not to mention our horrible Healthcare. Changes have to be made.

Republicans lied, Americans died. Not just the five deaths at the Capitol from the seditious Reich-wing Republican cult terrorist attack there, but also hundreds of thousands from COVID-19.
GOP cult is *_NOT_* the party of law and order, *_NOT_* the party of the Constitution and patriots, *_NOT_* the party of “values,” *_NOT_* the party of fiscal responsibility, *_NOT_* the party of clean government, *_NOT_* the party of freedom. It’s the party of terrorism, lawlessness, corruption, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, bigotry, misogyny, big lies, sedition, traitors, and tyranny.
It’s good corporation are suspending donations to Congressional Republican demagogues, if long overdue. But when will American corporations finally quit advertising on Reich-wing media outlets that have programmed and fomented radical Reich-wing extremism for decades, brainwashing and molding millions into a mindles Republican cult, turning them into seditious terrorists?

Mix in equal parts of mental illness, willful ignorance, fear, hate, and 24/7 Reich-wing media propaganda / Russian disinformation programming, stir well, garnish with COVID-19, and you have the mindless Republican cult committing terrorism. Then, grab a stiff drink–you’ll need it.

What is a Cult?
Psychiatrist Robert Jay Lifton, who once taught at Harvard Medical School, wrote a paper titled Cult Formation in the early 1980s. He delineated primary characteristics, which are the most common features shared by destructive cults, destructive cults like Trumpism.
1. A charismatic leader, who increasingly becomes an object of worship as the general principles that may have originally sustained the group lose power. That is a living leader, who has no meaningful accountability and becomes the single most defining element of the group and its source of power and authority.
2. A process of indoctrination or education is in use that can be seen as coercive persuasion or thought reform commonly called “brainwashing”. The culmination of this process can be seen by members of the group often doing things that are not in their own best interest, but consistently in the best interest of its leader.
3. The exploitation of group members by the leader and the ruling members.
Here are 10 warning signs of a potentially unsafe group or leader.
• Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability.
• No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry.
• No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget or expenses, such as an independently audited financial statement.
• Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions.
• There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil.
• Former members often relate the same stories of abuse and reflect a similar pattern of grievances.
• There are records, books, news articles, or broadcast reports that document the abuses of the group/leader.
• Followers feel they can never be “good enough”.
• The group/leader is always right.
• The group/leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or receiving validation, no other process of discovery is really acceptable or credible.
As we can all see, when it comes to the warning signs and characteristics of a cult, Trump and his followers check most of the boxes.

Big businesses didn’t mind socialism when they were accepting huge financial bailouts during this pandemic. Oh but they “fear” it when they think the money may go to the peasants in society. Tax breaks for them OK,….. taxes for social security, education, infrastructure, health care, housing etc for the tax paying plebs, not ok
If taxes were eliminated, the people wouldn’t have representation, resulting in a corrupt authoritarian nation.
The Republican Party is now the party of cop killers except for Mitt Romney. There were many law enforcement officers from all over the country that was also involved in a coup to murder members of Congress including the vice president – this is unforgivable! Pelosi should call back the House immediately to start impeachment proceedings for Donald J. Trump and all the Republican party members involved in inciting violence and government overthrow, immediately. Pelosi and Democrats should not tolerate the language of appeasement for Trump or his gang of miscreants.
Lets go back to reality. What really hurts the poor without affecting the rich. Lotteries. Visa and Mastercard. Utility prices. Endless fees and permits.Gasoline , alcohol and cigarette taxes.The stock market. Income taxes are not really a thing. The rich could easily afford more, while the poor are given some protection form this one thing. What about the first five things?
