Amazon CEO Supports Higher Corporate Taxes To Pay For Infrastructure Plan | Morning Joe | MSNBC
To crush the competition. Duh.
I only like Besos because he triggers Trump lol
Corporate tax rate was 40%-%50%+ from WW2 until Reagan’s second term. Do we face less of a crisis now than we did post-WW2???
Improve your employees work conditions while you’re at it!
sure he supports it, they always find a way for a regular person to pay for it all
Modern day conservatives are just regular extremist.
So when you hand out tax breaks the size of the GDP of several countries, you give corporations person status and you remove all your regulators and oversite and now all of you are surprised that the owners screwed over America? It is your own belief in capitalism without morale and ethical oversite that brought this on.
American Dream now. Become a billionaire so I don’t have to pay taxes.
Stop blaming the companies for following the *legal* avoidance of taxes, and start blaming and holding accountable to change the politicians in *both* parties that can and should close loopholes and deductions. The impartial and rational entity, be that a corporation or an person, will seek to take advantage of all legal methods to reduce it taxation, as well they should.
After this interview ended, these guys had to check their notifications to ‘confirm’ or ‘skip’ their next 4 upcoming subscribe and save deliveries lol.
If these multi billion dollar companies PAID their taxes like me and you, then we could easily pay to fix AMERICA and have a budget surplus !!!
let Bezos and the billionaires pay more taxes, don’t screw us the small entrepreneurs with that
We’re making his yacht payment, he’s not giving that up. Plz you know he’s bending everybody over including your wife and mine Joe.Differences I don’t like to watch
It only worked that way fir the super rich companies they had to reinvest in order to do that tho and that created new jobs. Which is why the economy was so great . Amazon could do it anyway tho. . It helped stalker business quite a bit tho
It’s no surprise. They’re all big donors to politicians on both sides. They have huge influence on tax laws. It’s basically an oligarchy.
If I remember rightly, the Laffer curve that conservatives use to justify cutting taxes indicates that a corporate tax rate below 35% is harmful to the economy.
If you set the game up in an manner that cheating gets rewarded, people will find and exploit those loopholes that get them ahead. Especially since you are absolutely obsessed with zero sum games for some odd reason. If I win you have to loose. And some such irrational notions. The simpler you set up the tax laws the less gameable the system will become. Removing the loopholes is easy if you change the whole system instead of trying to fix some of the broken parts. Sometimes it’s just easier to burn down the house and build a new one instead of removing the lead pipes and fixing the leaking roof.
The maniacal squid optionally crawl because chard rahilly supply at a jaded clave. breakable, scared trail
And a 10% wealth tax
28? It should be 90%
Real time 5-19-21 last night 30 multimillionaires made a big stink outside Bezos home and he spent $500M on a yacht
If he paid zero then he shouldn’t mind..
It’s insane that we’re just beginning to expose these injustices brought on by the tax system it’s policies and the loop holes. Our country could be so much better with its infrastructure and services if this wasn’t happening. And they would still be rich. They just wouldn’t be choking on their own money.
Concentration of wealth at the top is a outcome of capitalism. Certainly without adding some “socialist” mentality to prevent this tendency of capitalism. Most Capitalists don’t know how to share the economic pie.
Increasing your minimum wage to $15 an hour and now agreeing that you should pay taxes makes me feel good about buying from Amazon.
Amazon has always been excellent customer service.
At the moment I feel good even if my purchases at Amazon hurt the local store.
The local store is usually a National Corporation anyway. Ones that don’t pay $15 an hour or provide insurance and close to 40 hours a week.
Amazon’s pricing has exposed some corporate greed.
Greed that I won’t forget.
